The job of a lifetime
I always loved music. The feel of the energy from the words, the meaning, the music all washing over you to create emotional resposes. What a fantastic experience. I spent the first years of my niterpreting career practicing in mirrors and voluntering for whatever musical festivals I could.
In 2012, I was honored to interpret for Dana Owens. Queen Latifah rocked the house and the interpretation provided a bridge for the Deaf clients in attendance.
It was a performance that I am both proud of and will never forget. That night also solidified the kind of interpreting I want to continue doing. I love my job, the good the bad and the crazy all come together to create one of the most rewarding careers a woman can have.
